-While Tucker's original idea was that Prison Pit's Cannibal Fuckface and Batman could be "sitting at a card table, you know, something like that", Cliff Chiang immediately rejected that idea. As he so concisely put it, "There's got to be a reason these two are in a room together, and if you don't know what that reason is, then we've just figured out another reason why you're some lazy blogger." A previous discussion on the importance of crying heroes was incorporated, and what you see here was born.
-According to Cliff, a DC Exclusive artist whose conversational tone hides a blistering editorial control over the continuity of the characters his occasional employer publishes, Batman has always carried a collapsible picture frame of his dear parents. Until now, he just never had a reason to whip it out. Unfortunately, the strength of will that the sight of dead mumsy often brings just wasn't enough. Maybe he should have tried a magic wishing ring instead?
