"Marvel Fucking Comics! They're supposed to be the pro's, right?"

The grammar mistake in the section bitching about proofreading mistakes is all meta and shit, right?

Ellis also consistently gets his webcomic "Freakangels" out. Also, "Outsiders" is still being published? Huh...

See Cody? That's what I mean about being a cancer!

"he can blow himself up like a balloon. To be mean, he refers to Owlman as 'hootie'."

You're giving me a sinking feeling that this guy was created solely so Didio can make a bad "Hootie and the Blowfish" joke at some point down the line.

Man, i feel like a prize fool for missing the Blowfish connection. You're right of course, that has to be coming up in the next issue.

The whole "flat-chested" thing depends. I've read enough manga to know that there are degrees of chest-flatness, and depending on who's doing the insulting, it can be levied when the chest isn't actually flat. You know, some Power Girl cosplayer laughs at the pathetic attempt of Miss Tiny Tits to look good next to her, kya ha ha, ooh she's so mean. That's just somebody being a bully, and a chance for readers to get on the heroine's side, because there's more to somebody than the size of their breasts, right? Or, maybe she's just insecure, especially when comparing herself to her busty friend, who always seems to attract the boys' attention; why don't they recognize my winning personality it's not fair. These are IMPORTANT ISSUES, man, don't frivolize them.

Of course, if it's some dude just checking out the chicks and comparing cup size, that's just creepy. Wait, that's what I'm doing right now! *head explodes*

Yeah, maybe I'm too forgiving, but I read it as sort of the whole female "let me fixate on my least favorite feature and exaggerate its perceived suckiness" thing.

Or, the artist is simply incapable of drawing a woman who doesn't have nicely shaped breasts even when the script explicitly calls for very small breasts.

Alan Davis and Adam Hughes draw lots of large breasted women, but they also know how to draw small breasted women as well. That's a True Fact.

Does the script specifically call for the character to have very small breasts?

That's fucking creepy.

R.e. David Lapham never, ever trying again , ever? I'm not trying to be argumentative but: Young Liars? No love for Young Liars?

Anyway still making me laugh, still making me think. I don't tell you that often enough. But you know in your heart it is true.

Seriously though, no love for Young Liars?

Dude, Comic B-cups means you built like a European runway model, all skinny as fuck for the delectation of pederast fashion designers. Comics have fucking creepy children.

Did you read Heralds #1? And the art beyond those wierd panels? And, uh, the writing, beyond that typo?

If everyone else loves it like Jesus you can't won't keep you Angry Comicbook Reviewer Cred by going all metasmokescreen. Step it up!

Isn't there a line in the comic after she's been Osborned that her body was "augmented" or some shit and the suggestion is she got be-titted? I mean, after Spider-Woman - Marvel has a precedent for this kind of shit. It stood out to me when I read/skimmed that comic too, but it's comics, you know? It's like in SAVED BY THE BELL when they would have that one "ugly" classmate. They don't hire ugly people.

I have absolutely no sympathy for spelling mistakes any more. The odd mistake? Fine, I can blame that on a lapse or a letterer or whatever. But this is still publishing, right? Not copyright protection? You are still publishing words. And seeing as "ensuring continuity", "making story suggestions" and "working with other editors and writers" are no longer within the purview of editors - I would think their only job now is to check spelling. If that's not the case, is their job now just to open envelopes and berate fans online?

"In this issue, a creep gets treated meanly, and he decides he wants revenge. Accents ensue."

This is the best, most succinct description of late-period Ellis I've ever read.

"Maybe that's true, but the comic seemed a lot more interesting when it was constant double entendres between Deadshot and Catman."

I know, right? Also when it was still drawn by Nicola Scott.
