I listen to the Jocko podcast pretty religiously, and a good proportion of those focus on military history books. If you want to zero in on on those episodes, you'll get a sense of how he does it--it's more about how the military stuff applies to regular life. I do take occasional dives into Hardcore History as well, but I imagine nobody needs me to rep for that show!
