After the break, you'll find a new episode of Travis Bickle on the Riviera, with your hosts Tucker Stone, Morgan Jeske & Celia Mattison.
This week, we're looking at a bunch of movies from 2020 that we saw via streaming services, because that is how we live now. Which ones? Here they are for you, friend:
0:00 - 13:10 Happiest Season, by Clea DuVall, Mary Holland & Melissa Bretherton. With Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Kristen Stewart, Dan Levy, Victor Garber, Ana Gasteyer & Mary Steenburgen. Features holiday discussions.
13:12 - 51:05 Embattled by Russian tycoon-son money and the guy who wrote American History X. Stars Stephen Dorff, Elizabeth Reaser, Darren Mann, Karrueche Tran, Donald Faison, Ava Capri & Lindsey Garrett and the great Said Taghmaoui. MY MAIN MAN.
51:05 - 1:10:50 The Personal History of David Copperfield, The Mandalorian. Made by Amando Ianucci and Donna Tartt. That's a good joke!
1:10:51 - 1:19:48 The 2nd, with Ryan Phillippe, Casper Van Dien. Directed by Brian Skiba. It's not his first movie! Also featuring Jack Griffo & Lexi Simonsen, who are delightful. Also, I forgot to mention this but Samaire Armstrong--you know, from the first season of The O.C.--shows up in a key humiliating role. Ricahrd Burgi is in it as well: you'll remember him from movies you're embarrassed for watching. I promise!
1:19:49 - 1:42:55 The Hitcher, by Robert Harmon, Eric Red, Frank J. Urioste, John Seale & Mark Isham. Features Rutger, Jennifer and C.T Howell. This is NOT OPTIONAL. I'm gonna start tracking the other not optionals on Letterboxd, FYI. It's an ongoing project and there's a bunch missing, but i'm working on it. Feel free to send me reminders!
